Turtle Time

I have a very good friend who is also an artist. She's a wonderful photographer and she makes beautiful collages out of leaves onto canvas as well as beautiful wire & hand-blown glass jewelry. Being both animal lovers and also loving to go to the zoo to snap photos, we decided to rule out the X-mas & birthday gifts and give each other a Festivus gift which we will be celebrating tomorrow. We choose an animal theme and make some kind of art to give one another as well as any other little trinket. I'm pretty sure my friend won't be reading my blog between today or tomorrow, so I'm going to go ahead and post my art to her. With the art gifts, I also gave her a Japanese garden turtle bell, a little hand-tooled & painted leather turtle wrist purse, and a wind-up toy! I hope she likes it and I can't wait to see what beautiful art she's made me. Check out her website: http://www.sealightsart.com/.
I also revised my tiger painting and broke up the water on the rightside to be more consistent with the leftside of the tiger. I think it's done now.
I'm entering three shows this week, with my first entry into the San Diego Watercolor Society. I sure hope they all get juried into the shows. I'm excited and I have the jitters.
